In case anyone misses the flyer (included in all paperwork this week) or doesn't notice the link on the right-hand side of the home page, the league office will be running Guaranteed Singles Qualifiers this coming weekend. This might be of some interest. The 2006 National Singles Championship takes place later this month. The breakdown of participants is....
SL 6,7 board has 112 6's and 69 7s' for a total of 181;
SL 4,5 board has a fairly even split of 4's and 5's and a board of 154;
SL 2,3 board has 32 players......that's right, only 32!!
So drag your lower skill level players (who don't think they have a chance) to a local qualifier. Their chances of playing in the 2007 National Singles Championship are much better than they think.

We're trying to have one of these weekends every session, so look for one around the beginning of August and another in November.
You can also try to qualify any time you can get at least four players together. Just contact us for the materials and you can run your own singles boards.
