The Masters Division [3-player teams (team roster may have up to 5), no skill-level limit/no handicaps, combination of 8 & 9-Ball play] starts its second season next Monday, June 20. If you have not registered your team, be sure to contact the League Office this week. |

I think i might be on luke's team. He had asked me about it a few week's ago, but need to get clarification. Only reason I say that, is because it's definitely worth a 30 mile drive to get to play me! (figure some of my friends'd get a kick outta this) |

Matt, Hi, Our team played out of Simi Valley last season and if it's the competion you are seeking then this is the format for you. As a team we decided that we would be willing to travel anywhere in our region becuase the matches and players are worth the extra time. We go as far as Newhall which may take an hour, I am going to let Phil & Taz know that we will go to teams home locations (should they be willing to put a team together), if they are unable/willing to travel out to us, now we will have a second team out of Simi but hey may not be as flexable, that would save you atleast a couple of trips to Simi. So put a team together and lets play some pool. |

Hopefully, we will continue to grow this format to the point where we have divisions that are a little more geographically compact and we can do different nights of the week, but until that happens there will be more travel involved. However, the format won't grow if everyone sits around waiting for that to happen, so my suggestion would be to bite the bullet and travel for a session or two, then see what happens. Summer session will be VERY short, only eight weeks, so it will be the perfect opportunity to get your feet wet and see if you like the format!

How many weeks will the season be? Is there anyplace online I can read about the format and structure of how it works?
I would be interested except that it's too much of a drive for me, and I've heard that complaint before on the message board. Ujpest is the closest and that's a 30-minute drive. But if we could get more teams to sign up maybe I wouldn't have to drive as often out to Simi Valley, or maybe there could be a North Hollywood or Burbank or Glendale division. Isn't anyone interested?
