Posted - 06/03/2006 : 12:30:36 PM We are EXTREMELY pleased to announce that Shane Tanita received a kidney transplant on Wednesday of this past week. His father Tom reports that so far Shane's body is accepting the new organ and he is doing as well as can be expected.
Tom would also like to express his gratitude for all the generous donations made by APA players and teams. The South Coast APA family raised over $10,000 for Shane's transplant. We in the league office are also overwhelmed by the tremendous generosity shown by our members during this whole ordeal.
Keep Shane in your prayers as he adjusts to the new kidney. He's not out of the woods yet, but the indicators are all good so far!

We played Tommy's team last evening and he ask me to tell everyone that Shane is doing better than anyone had expected. The new kidney immediately started to function and (crossed fingers) his body is showing no signs of rejection or infection.
He also wished me to again thank ALL of the South Coast APA family for their support and prayers.
