Here's the latest update...
We have two teams who have turned in sign-up slips, both willing to play either Friday or Monday.
We have one team (posted on different thread) wanting to play on Friday.
We've had lots of calls and emails asking for more information on this format and fully expect some sign-up forms to be returned in this week's envelopes. As soon as we get those, we'll see where we are and if we will be starting a Monday Doubles, Friday Doubles or both!
Feel free to sign-up a team for either night of play thru a note on your scoresheet, a post on this site or a phone call to the league office.
We will be holding a players' meeting to kick-off the doubles league(s) and familiarize everyone with the doubles scoresheet and answer any questions. More information will be sent out in NEXT week's envelopes (not this week, as all paperwork has already left our office). |

Spoke with Taz this morning. She has had any more sign ups and I am wonderring if there any others out there holding off turning in a roster . I myself am holding off because 3 people have said maybe about playing and I figured using the leverage of it being a done deal. If someone definitely wants to play, I have a location for Fri (cant do Monday) let me know. |

I posted some basic info on the doubles - you can get to it from the home page.
To answer your specific questions Tom, you can make a team with just two players, any gender combination, and there are caps on the combined skill levels for doubles matches (so two 9's could not play doubles together).

Phil will be posting all the information on the Doubles League shortly. Look for it later today.
We had initially offered to run a Doubles League in the San Fernando Valley, as a "test" division, at the request of the players in that area. Since there is already league play in the Thousand Oaks/Moorpark area on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday, we could offer to run a double league in your area on Wednesday nights.
If there is interest in the Doubles League in the Camarillo, Oxnard, Ventura & the Ojai Valley area, we can run those on Tuesday night. |

Taz can you provide some basic info such as:
1)How many are required to have a team of doubles? Does 1 double make a team?
2.)Do the doubles have to be Male + Female or can it be Male + Male or Female + Female?
3.)Is there a skill level max or can 2 male skill level 9's be considered a double?
Depending on these questions I may have a team.
