It was a long weekend with a lot of exciting matches, many of which hinged on the play of the lower skill level players to carry teams through to the next round. Excellent sportsmanship all around!
Many thanks to the management and staff of the Arena Sports Lounge, our host, and to Hot Shot Billiards, who provided some great-playing tables for the event.

Now I know why it is called Southcoast Championships!
Each team that played were truly of Champion character and skill level. The adrenaline and friendship was extremely high. Sportsmanship was very evident during the 2 weekends. I especially applaud the team captains that I have personally met, truly exemplary people.
Thank You, Phil and Taz for making this year even smoother than last year. I didn't think it was possible to that but you folks did!
My team mates and I have a blast and will continue the Southcoast motto of "Sportmanship first above all" with our 3 other sister 8-ball and 3 other sister 9-ball teams represent in Vegas.

Thanks to Taz and Phil (and the rest of the APA family) .... it was a great weekend ... to bad we did not get to go to Vegas!!!!!

I would like to Thank Phil and Taz, we are lucky to have league operators who are passionate about billiards, and people.
I would also like to thank Scott and all the staff at Camarilo Bowl, for their continued support. You are awesome.
To my teammates on both teams, Agent 13 and the Castaways-
The friendship and support for each other, between both teams,
was really amazing. How great was that? I appreciate you all!
One team is going to Vegas, and one came up one single match short.
All 15 of you know how I feel about that, and how much I wanted us all to go. I want to add the sportsmanship on our teams, and all the teams we played was great. Thanks again, DD

Amen to what Marissa said. Even though my team sucked pathetically, it was still a great event and I had a great time while we were there.

This was the most fun I've had at Regionals and it was due to great organization, wonderful league operaters, and all the teams I've had the pleasure of playing on or against, in T.O., North Hollywood, and Camarillo. Everyone is awesome!!! Southcoast APA in LA and Ventura counties is the BEST!!! And I am one of the losers these last two weekends (3 teams)!!! GOD BLESS!!!! |
