For Spring I would like to propose that the Thousands Oaks 9-ball Thursday night divisions split into a Simi/Moorpark division and a T.O. division. This has been requested before and the resistance was from teams that wanted to play out of PJ's Pub but there was lack of room. Now with the Wednesday division there is room at PJ's Pub for additional teams. What do you think?

I tend to lean toward Torsten's opinion for my own selfish reasons. I originally joined the APA because it allowed me to travel to different locations, play pool against people I would have never met otherwise plus I expected to meet and compete with high skilled players who could teach me and help me advance in my own game. That has all happened.

The distances we travel between TO, Moorpark and Simi are pretty insignificant to the whole scheme of things.

I would like to see MORE locations in each division not fewer!
Even if it meant we had to travel a little further on league night.

By and large, you're correct, Richard. Matches may take a little longer. But I think implementing such a change would have ramifications that outweigh the benefits. Personally, I would be robbed of the opportunity to play against and get my butt kicked by you and Erwin since my team is out of Moorpark and you guys are at PJ's. No disrespect meant to any of my esteemed opponents but I learn the most when I play players of your caliber and I'm always trying to improve.

On a broader scale, the APA is more than just a pool league. It's a giant social forum where we make new friendships and cultivate old ones. Why would we want to cut into social interaction by segregating the leagues into Moorpark/Arena and PJ's?

For me and my team there are two main reasons. The extra distance, especially for the Arena in Simi Valley. And the late nights. Playing on the 9ft tables can more than double the number of innings in a match. Matches will last one to two hours longer.

What gets me is that the noise you here on this is from a couple of people that dont want to play on big tables because they cant play as well as on the bar boxes. If this is the reason why then just do what a bunch of us do and play on bigger tables more often.
