Hey i love playing but it's getting a little expensive. Does anyone know where they have open tables any days of the week? Or where the cheapest tables are?
I think that Paladino's is open on sunday before 6? I think...

Pat's Cocktails in Studio City
on Riverside Drive north side of street 1/2 block west of LAUREL Cyn
has 3 tables and has FREE pool on SUNDAY afternoon and evening and also a 9 ball tournament following the FREE practice. game starts @ 6
there is also FREE pool during their 8 ball tournament on Saturday
starting at 4 pm TOURNAMENT STARTS @ 5

Kind of off topic, but have any of you been to hard times billiards i herd that really good players go there, like reyes.

oooh and another one (so I just heard!)
The Winchester Room in Glendale is supposed to be opening their table on Tuesday nights...or so I've been told...be forewarned, bar table...everything runs toward the left of the chalkboard!

Ujpest has them open on Saturdays, and most players will play an APA or other ball in hand format (read BCA format).
I like it before 4pm...not too many players & those who do play do so with class. The "bar tables" are very well kept and tend to play very fast.

Paladino's tables are open from the time they open (usually noon), everyday, until their evening shift change at 7 PM. Happy hour drink prices also apply during those hours (at least on weekdays)!
If you are looking to practice on a Friday or Saturday evening, they sometimes have an early sound check (around 5 PM or so) that may be a distraction, but otherwise... |
