Posted - 08/11/2008 : 10:21:35 AM Just wanted to send heart-felt condolences to all of Sam's loved ones. Sam & Randy were to play on our Wednesday DJ team in the fall and we are all just beside ourselves at this horrible tragedy.
Whenever there is any information available about a memorial service, please someone post it so all of Sam's friends have a chance to say their goodbyes.
Thanks ... Sam was a positive and fun presence every week and was really a joy to be around. She'll be missed deeply.

This Friday. 3:00 to 10:00. I imagine that it will go on long after that. If not there, then somewhere else. ;-)

Posted - 08/12/2008 : 4:12:47 PM Mike and I are so saddened to hear of Sam's death. She will be missed by both of us. Sam was always so cheerful and full of life. I had the pleasure of playing a match with Sam at Yankee Doodles. She won. She went over to a machine put in some money and won a Betty Boop doll and gave it to me. We put it in our den will all our collectibles. Every time I see it I remember Sam and the fun that we had. Our thoughts and prayers to her family. Lorraine and Mike Elm |

Posted - 08/11/2008 : 12:31:46 PM Actually she left behind three children. Dillon, Megan and Cody. Megan is currently pregnant with what would have been Sam's first grandchild which makes this an even worse tragedy.
She will be missed but should not be mourned. Sam was a person that celebrated life and would be the first to smack you in the shoulder and say "WTF!?! Get over it! It's time to PARTY!"
The Emergency and ICU staff at UCLA did a wonderful job. A world class facility.
I will post the service information when it becomes availible.

This is added by her best friend Este...
She went out in a blaze of glory doing something that she loved to do. She didn't have to get old and pruney <sp>. She was beautiful, sexy, strong and funny and in great health and did not suffer. She was spontaneous and full of life and always made sure that everybody around her was happy, thus the nickname: Julie, The Cruise Director. She was loved by all and all of us whose lives that she touched, she will live on forever. She is in good company and will get to be with John Lennon before me...You Bitch! <g>
I'm Louise without her Thelma and will miss her Earthly presents.
Her favorite comedian, The Lovemaster says "Laughter is the best medicine". So think of a funny moment that you had with Sam and laugh on!
Peace and Love.
Pray for the children.

Posted - 08/11/2008 : 10:33:12 AM Unfortunately Sam and Randy were coming back from dinner on their motorcycle on PCH this Saturday night. Something happened and Sam was injured. She was airlifted to UCLA medical center where she was kept on life-support until the final decision was made to shut off the machines since she was brain dead.
She left behind two beautiful children and many good friends. |
