I would like to be one who says thanks to any and all who prayed for those affected by the fires.
About 4 months ago, I moved my family to the Northern most part of Las Virgenes Rd, adjacent to Mont Calabasas. The housing area is surrounded on 3 sides by the hills and canyons that make up this part of Calabasas.
My family was first evacuated Thursday morning around 4:00am, and after returning around 11:00am, was forced again in the evening to leave. What we saw was downright frightening, watching the fires creep down the sides of ALL 3 hills on each side of the area.
I could only shed a tear and come up with no words how grateful I was to the firemen who put their own lives at risk and the families of the the firemen who make their own sacrifices in their homes so people like I can have one.
