Any heads up on how the 9 ball divisions will be set up for the Summer Session?
I have heard talk of splitting the current division to Wednesdays and Thurdays or possibly having 2 division but playing both on Thursday.
Any idea how that looks?

Most likely there will be two divisions on Thursday. Of the existing teams, only one said they would be willing to move to Wednesday. We were hoping to get some of the sardines out of the Thursday night can, but nobody seems to mind the crowds. So, unless there are some new teams for Wednesday we'll probably just do Thursday.

Just my two cents... I kind of like the idea of two divisions because it gives you the opportunity to play an opponent twice. A big part of the fun of our leagues is the little friendly rivalries that start with other players. (You reading, Jack Murray? I still think you have me by one...  ) Personally, after getting my butt kicked, I look forward to getting a rematch. And I'm sure that after the infrequent occurence of me kicking someone's butt, they want the same.  See you all at the meeting tomorrow!

I can’t read but after 36 calls from friends, teammates, and rivals from around the league telling me to “check the message board, check the message board” I finally got somebody to read it to me. I had no idea whether I’d go for one or two divisions but after reading Thorsten’s “two cents” I’d have to say I’d go for the two divisions and I love that reason! There are many people that I look forward to playing even if I think the odds might be against me and I might get my “butt kicked” the way I kicked Thorsten’s the last time.  Sorry Thorsten but you know I am kidding and neither one of us can remember how the “series” has gone, and BTW I think you’re up one or two wins on me. I know it’s not the “couple” of cold ones we tip back during and after our matches or all the fun we have; so, it must be the thrill (okay probably “stress”) of wanting to win so bad that just makes this impossible to remember. Either way, I think we all look forward to these friendly rivalry matches and welcome the rematches and I’m ready for next season. Why hasn’t it started yet?
I guess if we end up in different divisions this season one of us might need to play on two teams!

I plan to be on three teams, jack, so you might find it hard to avoid me! Either way, I'll see you soon, bud.
P.S. All this back and forth on who might be up by a match... why don't we start blank and start keeping track with this season?

Easy Whateverett!!!! Can't be.... I never have more than two cokes, ice-waters, or non-alcoholic coors lites.
Alright Thorsten ... we start with this season(s). I kinda thought if we kept rambling about this Taz might get tired of it and look it up... It couldn't take more than a couple of days. |

My bet is with Mack Jurray, King of the Coors Lite (non-alcoholic of course.... *wink *wink) 
If I remember correctly, I KNOW Jack beat Torsten last time.... Not beat, killed! 
Okay, with that said, I think Taz should help us out with this one so we can stop using everyone's valuable time to read this message board. Afterall we have much better things to do than tack messages on this board and read our jokes via email.....

| If the 9 ball division needs to be split, why not take the 8 teams from PJ's and make that one division and the 7 teams from Arena/Moorpark could make up the other division. I've run it by Phil and Taz but they need team captains input. What say captains? |

Me and Carol both agree that would be good....but...
Since Erwin is on both his team and ours that would not work for us.
Also if PJ's were a division unto itself all the games would be there and we would not play anywhere else plus there would almost never be any practice tables available on Thursday.

Thanks for proving my point, Marisa. My ego is still bruised from the asswhuppin' Jack gave me last time.... not to mention the asswhuppin YOU gave me two seasons ago in 8 ball. I guess the league never got my SL evaluation form where I requested they move you to a 6...
As far as the PJs in house division thing, I would vote against it. A lot of the fun of the league is going to all the different locations, and getting to see all your friends in the league, not just the ones in your division. Just my opinion....

I agree with T & T, sorry P. It's alot of fun playing "others" from Moorpark and Arena. Having played out of all the places, I like having the opportunity to see the people I used to play with (not to be taken the wrong way...). It's better to play Moorpark, Arena, and Borderline teams... Totsten!!!
Especially since that's how Jack and I will take down Torsten AGAIN!!!!! Thanks for the reminder that I beat you too!! That makes it even more fun! Can't wait for that rematch! If I see that I'm a 6 in the near future, I'll know who's responsible!

Marisa...I'm not sure but I think you whupped up on me the last time too.
As for Jack or Mack or what ever he is calling himself these days....he also whupped up on me.
I don't think Torsten has had the opportunity yet but I will look forward to the time and I know it is coming.
Only a few days to go for these local feuds to start back up...I can hardly wait.

Ouch! Whatever I call myself these days? Sorry but I can't keep up with that one either....
And "whupped up on you"?... As you remember we had a circumstance beyond our control and although I had made a pretty good come-back I think that one was close to going either way... I think I took that one with a little reluctance (that spelling just doesn't look right for some reason but I haven't been wrong yet today) and this would be another example of a "friendly rivalry" that I look forward to... You know I remember that one pretty good so I must have had less of those double ice-waters and more of the N/A Coors Lights... Once again I have learned a valuable lesson from this league.
If you haven't played Travis Torsten yet that will be a good match as well and I wish you both the best of luck ...

You're right, Tommy. We haven't actually faced off at the table yet. And when we do, you can bet I'll be extra motivated seeing as your wife kicked my butt too the last time I played against her.
I'm noticing a disturbing pattern developing... The last ten posts on this thread have all been about me getting soundly defeated. Can we change the subject so I might salvage what's left of my ego???
