Those of you who attended Regionals over the past two weekends may have purchased tickets in one or more of the cue raffles. If you recall, every ticket you purchase in those raffles gets you a ticket in the "big" cue raffle at the end of the event. This year's big cue was a Schon cue with a retail value of $1050.
This year, the person who won the very first cue ALSO won the very last cue! Congratulations to Dirk Downing, proud new owner of not only the Schon, but a $400 Viking cue as well!
Yes WTG Dirk ---- But the way in which it was presented by leaving 2 people standing thinking one of them was the winner was not the way it should have been presented. We were wondering why it was presented that way by Phil.
Are you serious??? Were someone's feelings hurt because they were "left at the wall" after finding out that the raffle ticket they purchased a week earlier didn't win? They were crushed to find out that their chances didn't go from one in three to one in two?
I sent Dirk away, then called his name to add an element of surprise to the presentation. It worked, just ask Dirk. Anyone who took offense to that is in dire need of some Prozac, Vallium, or a good long massage with a block sander to dull their sensitivities.
you go Dirk I was there for both weekends. I also prchased tickets. My numbers were never called. On the last day of the Regionals I heard someones name called repeatedly in various drawings for cue cases but she wasn't there . Sorry Renee, you had to present to win.
