WHOOPEE!!!!
There are enough players qualified in each of the three 8-Ball tiers and the 4-5s and 6-9s in 9-Ball to hold National Qualifiers (Local) and advance the winners of each (5 more players) to the National Singles Championships (May 1-3, 2008).
In order NOT to send South Coast APA players to the Spring Singles Regional (either in Bakersfield or San Diego), we need everyones cooperation. We are looking at Saturday, February 9 for the 8-Ball tiers and Sunday, February 10 for the 9-Ball tiers. We would appreciate all qualified players doing everything you can to clear your calendars for those days. I will be making phone calls (as promised) in the next few days. If everyone can clear his/her calendar for that day, we are all set.
Unfortunately, our 9-Ball 1-2-3s will have to travel to a Spring Singles Regional site. The location has not yet been determined (it will be either Bakersfield or San Diego). Phil or I will be attending the event in order to support our players. As soon as the date and location is announced, we will let those who are qualified know. Traditionally, the Spring Singles Regional is held the first weekend in March, but again, the date has not been announced as of this posting.
