As most of you know, we are a "test market" area for a new way to advance players to the National Singles Championships. In a nut shell, as soon as we have 16 players qualified in any one skill level tier (8-Ball SL2-3, SL4-5, SL6-7 OR 9-Ball SL1-2-3, SL4-5, SL6-7-8-9) we can run a National Qualifier Board (instead of sending everyone to a regional tournament) and advance the winner to the National Tournament. Here's our updated count:
To run a National Qualifier we need (listed per tier/format):
8-Ball 2-3..........need to qualify 9 more players;
8-Ball 4-5..........need to qualify 4 more players;
8-Ball 6-7..........We have 16!!! National Qualifier Date will be announced shortly (our tentative date is September 10 - need to confirm a couple more players).
9-ball 1-2-3........need to qualify 9 more players;
9-Ball 4-5..........need to qualify 2 more players;
9-Ball 6-7-8-9......need to qualify 6 more players
With those numbers in mind, we will be running Guaranteed Singles Qualifiers (win or it's free!) on Sunday, June 25 at PJ's Pub starting at Noon. We hope to see many of you there. |

| The National Qualifier for 8-Ball SL6-7 will be held on Sunday, September 10 at PJ's Pub in Thousand Oaks. Notices went out in team envelopes to all qualified participants (Derrick, I don't know why you didn't get yours, unless it is in your Wednesday night envelope). More details will be sent prior and closer to the event date. |
