I actually had a seperate post all together discusing my feelings on Girls and pool and how they dress to win us guys by distracting us but it was removed. What happened to my 1st ammendment? Is that the right one? I forget. Wheres my bong damn it!

Johnny,
I read your post about women's cleavage, and as a women I have to agree with some of it. I wear low cut tops all the time, but I purposely don't wear them to APA matches because bending over causes things to pop-out. Now....I don't know any league women who purposely wear low cut tops to distract men....so we can win???? I wear a tank top because they keep the AC to a minimum at the bar we play at. But, I (and I am sure other women) can win in a sweatshirt....even against a man!
There are APA guidelines about dress code, if you feel that strongly.

First of all this is a pool league. Who cares how someone dresses. The whole point to winning pool matches is to stay mentally focused so obviously if ANYTHING distracts you then your mind isnt there. And FYI women dont dress skimpy to win matches, they do it because they are insecure and feel their scantily clad bodies are the only attributes people will like. Its pathetic. Most women who can actually shoot great pool are infact dressed professionally and its the ones who dont give a crap who show up in the fig leaves and start pounding booze before they even put their cues together. And lastly I've seen some men in tank tops and 1980's tight shorts that damn near made me have to excuse myself to the vomitorium but you block it out and shoot on.

Jason, you promised you would never tell anyone. Besides, I like my short shorts.... I think this topic has not only been beaten to death but has also fallen off course. Didn't it start as a discussion about beginning handicaps? How did it turn into a discussion on skimpy attire?
Phil, if I may, I would like to motion to close this topic. We have probably exhausted its use seeing as that it seems to be slowly edging towards more of a mudslinging exchange rather than a civilized discussion. |
