This message goes out to everybody in the south coast APA.
As most of you know the Lamplighter is having their annual charity pool tournament on November 11, 2006. This tournament is to raise money for the Vinson family. I encourage everyone to sign up and donate the $25.00 whether you can play in the tournament or not. I personally can not play in the tournament but will sign up and get my t-shirt and bbq.
Along with the tournament we are having a raffle. Most of you have received a flyer and tickets in your weekly APA envelope, if not you will this next week. Each ticket is only $2.00 dollars. You do not have to be in the tournament to enter the raffle. You don’t even have to be there to win a prize. We will call you if you win. Just put your name and phone number on the ticket.
Now, I know most of use have $2.00 in our pocket most of the time, and I know all of you have good hearts. I also know it feels good to help out a family in need, to feel like you made a difference. This is not like donating to a big charity where your money is just a drop in a very large bucket and makes very little difference. This fundraiser will make a huge difference for the Vinson family. So every ticket sold matters. Any amount of money you can spare makes a difference.
Each league envelope contains 8 raffle tickets, a total of $16.00. I encourage all of the teams to buy all 8 tickets. If we do this than this fundraiser will be a smashing success, and the Vinson family will get some of the help they need. This is just a once a year event so it is not like we ask for something every month.
I am a team captain on 2 teams. I guarantee that all eight tickets on each night will be sold. I challenge all of the team captains to do the same.
Now it is not just about giving. The raffle has some great prizes. Check you league envelopes for a list of prizes we have.
So come on people let’s dig deep and make this a success. |

| Michelle Vinson lives in Camarillo, she has two young children, and she is battling breast cancer. The Lamplighter sports bar is doing their annual charity pool tournament. The raffle is being done at the same time. |

| If the tickets are not in your envelope this week you will get them next week. If you want to purchase tickets and do not have any in your envelope just make a list of everyone and put their phone number and how many tickets they want on it. We will transfer your list on to tickets and put them in the drum. Just send $2.00 per ticket. |

| The fliers and raffle tickets for the San Fernando Valley divisions were not brought to us until yesterday. They will be in all envelopes next week. Phil & I have signed up for the tournament, although only one of us will actually be playing, we just don't know which one yet (rock, paper scissors or flip-a-coin?). We hope to see many of you there and we thank everyone for their participation. |
