| My initial thought was most bars are already busy on friday. Who already has found a place to play out of? The format is interesting but not so sure Friday is viable. But have been known on rare occasions to be wrong |

Our initial thought was the same. Most bars have a regular crowd on Friday nights and may not need the extra business (and tying up the pool tables for league); however, a player brought up having a Friday night league at the SF Valley Captains' meeting and a dozen or so hands went up when asked if anyone else would be interested in playing on Friday night.
Here's a thought....bar business is not at its best on Saturday afternoons. Perhaps we can take the concept and move it to a Saturday afternoon league, starting at 1 or 2pm for locations that open later? This would allow everyone to sleep in on Saturday, play pool and still have the evening free to do other things.
Bottom line here is we would like to try this Doubles format. The night (or day) of play can be moved to accomodate the players. All we need to get started is eight confirmed teams that all agree to play on the same day. We are ready to roll. The balls is in your court. |

| Having found a location, have a second player, but not so sure I want to find a 3rd if nobody else has put a team together. What has anybody heard |

We had two teams turn in sign-up slips (playing out of Ujpest) and several players have called asking if we could (would) run this on Monday night instead. We'll keep everyone posted. |

| Taz calls sat nite and leaves a message that the doubles are scheduled to start if I still have a team. Four phone calls later, it appears that I have a team but no team members. If you were waiting to see if it was going to happen and dont have a team let me know. |

| The TGIF Doubles league (San Fernando Valley) starts this Friday, March 2 at 7:00pm and will run for 10 weeks. We are starting with 5 teams (2 Ujpest, 1 Moonshadows, 1 Pat's Cocktails & 1 Michael's Pub)and have plenty of room for more. Anyone interested in joining, contact the league office. |
