I'm just wondering how many people in the other div.actually enforce the 20 sec shot clock and the 1min time outs. It doesn't seem to apply much or at least I've never seen anybody really enforce it in the foothill div. So I guess I'm just looking for a way to start enforcing this rule without becoming "THAT GUY WITH THE STOPWATCH". Any info would be great.
Having played in both Foothill and Valley divisions it probably gets violated all the time. By the time you decide to enforce it, it is likely that another shooter is up so you start the process all over. dont think you can be percieved as the bad guy if you say they you are paying attention to time at the beginning of the night. I think you will though that lots more time is wasted in between matches
The 20 seconds between shots is a little hard ... but a "gentle" reminder at the "1 minute" mark of a time out should suffice in most instances. Should the opposing team fail to heed your request, be sure to fill out a "sportsmanship" form and forward it to the League Office.
