| In our match last week, our opponents forfeited the fifth match. How do you indicate this properly on the scoresheet? We missed out on our Taz buck because it wasn't complete. Thanks. |

I believe (and I am sure I will be corrected if I am wrong)that you put your players name and member number in the proper spots, in the spot for your opponent you put "forfiet", put in team #s where they go, put down 0 inninngs, and score the match 20-0 in 9-ball, or a win/lose and 0 games won by either player in 8-ball. That should get you your taz buc.
It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt |

That's pretty much it. There is a flier included in every team packet that shows the proper way of scorekeeping.
The name of the player who is receiving the forfeit is needed to show that the team would have still complied with the 23 Rule and, had a fifth match been needed, the team had a player present and ready to play, as simply saying we would have played "Joe" and he is on his way doesn't cut it. In that situation, the match would be a double-forfeit, as neither team has a player present and ready to play.
In a nut shell, write in your team number, the name of your player (again, the player must be present and his/her skill level would allow the team to comply with the 23 Rule), "0" for score and "W" for the win. Then the number of the opposing team, the word "forfeit" under the name column, score "0" and "L".
In 9-Ball, the first forfeit is scored as a 20-0 and any subsequent forfeits (if there is more than one) are scored 12-0. |
